Remington Mosin/Nagant

Have a Mosin/Nagant rifle dated 1917 and marked REMINGTON ARMORY. Is this a common variation or something out of the ordinary? Whats it worth in about 90% condition?

  The remington an westinghouse Nagants were produced for russia during WW1. The ruskies had a little revolution in 1917 and the guns were never delivered. The ended up being purchased from Rem and westinghouse by our government and resold to the public for pennies on the dollar of what was paid for them. an original non import marked one will bring $225 and up depending on how nice/original it is.

  Do the bolt and receiver numbers match? Is there a box with the leters SA in it on the receiver? That would mean the rifle went to Russia and was captured by or possibly sold to the Finns before the war. Is the stock a 2 piece one joined by finger splices? If so it is a Finnish one. All these things add history to the rifle and make it interesting. Many, (most) Remington's stayed in the US when Russia defaulted on payment and were sold to NRA members.
