jhwoody4,
The mounts that I see on these scopes were usually made by Kuharsky Bros.

The drawback to the mounts is that they are each made for specific rifles. You have to have one of these types of mounts since there is no other way to adjust the scope than through the mount system.
You should search the auction sites and other gun forums for listings as they are not really uncommon. Use a good search engine and type in 'Balvar 8 scope mounts' or 'Kuharsky scope mounts' and you will get a pretty good list.
Best of luck!

BalVar was an excellent optical tool then, and today is as good as many scopes made.
Extremely strong scope tube, using a smart fitted mount specific to each action, with the adjustments in the mount.
Mounts were produced in volume by both B&L, and Kuharsky Bros.
I have about 100 mounts for many different rifles, and as each year goes by...less parts.
If you need a mount, parts, more info, or want to sell-trade just email me.
