Marlin bolt action info needed...

Guy I work with says he bought a Marlin bolt action rifle in 30-06. I THINK he said it was a Model 7 (????) Does anyone have any info on this rifle? Any info would be appreciated.

Did a search on the auction side and it was not listed by anyone there.

    Introduced by Marlin in 1996. Chambered for the .25-06, .243, .270 Winchester, .280, .308, and 30-06.

    The MR-7 has a detachable box magazine while the Model MR-7B does not.

    Appreciate the feedback. I'll pass this info along. Believe he said he paid $300 NIB. They must have wanted to get rid of it since it had been sitting in their inventory for quite a while.

    Now the real question is...why can't I run across deals like that? LOL
