International Shipping?
I am not a dealer and I want to ship an ANTIQUE pistol from the USA to Europe. What is the best way to go? I owe the man the gun now that I got his money.

You need an export permit from the State Dept. And, while it is a "non-gun" to us, the laws of other countries may not consider it the same. I recommend not getting involved in the sale of anything related to firearms if the buyer is outside the US. It may be possible, but is never worth the trouble.

Like the Man said....You have to go thru the State Department.....or find an Import/Export Company that handles firearms...and see what they will charge You to handle the transaction...Its apt to cost You more than the cost of the Firearm....?...But do some serious checking...Make a few calls and see what Shipping Companys have to say.....

My personal suggestion would be to obtain information on the laws of the country you wish to ship to. If they don't consider antique guns firearms, and or don't prohibit civilians from purchasing/importing them, I think you'd be ok so long as you followed the steps of going through the state department that the other 2 members posted... 0 -
There is info here on the main GB board on brokers. Contact one, tell them where the buyer lives, and the value of the piece, then get their price for handling things for you.
Don't try and figure out the laws of another company, or even on your own try and figure out all the things you need to do on this end. Let a professional do it.
And, if it turns out that the costs are to high, refund the buyer's money, telling them what the problem is and apologizing.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0
