Any good?
Looks like i'm in the right place....Hello all, I recently aquired from ol' pops two, what look like old rifles.
The first is a Colt "pump?" .44 cal rifle s/n 6737. Looks like it would be fun to "plink cans with".
The second is a Winchester, model 1886, .33 W.C.F., s/n 447. Seems ok, woods cracked in front, and needs a sanding. The guy at the Coin\gun\appliance\pawn shop wanted to give me $150.00 for both. Are they worth fixin up, or should I take pop's to dinner with the cash?...
Hope you get the pics.....Mr.C

Even in bad shape the guns should be worth considerably more. If bores and function are OK they could be useable

Mr.Chow, either send pictures to they're email, or try this link www.photobucket.com You gotta upload pics on the internet, and that is a good resource for a picture database, just follow the instructions, and load your pics, then where it shows you a url like ![www.dgkjdglk.html[IMG\] Just copy and paste that link in you're message.](/hc/user_images/01JATZYWQSPSF3VD6KBWYW306C.jpeg)

It's not war untill someone breaks out the .50 calibers.0 -
Hello again, thanks for the info matty.
On the 1886, it looks more like the 1885 sporting rifle
#24798645 that's posted. It only has one barrel, not like the
other 1886's shown. I dont know much about these old rifles, but without a choke tube this can't hold many .33's can it?0 -
As a collector, let me tell you the pawn shop guy was trying to steal you blind. Even in bad shape either gun is worth more then $150!! Hope that you will post pics and give a full discription of both rifles so that we can give you a more realistic guesstament as to their real value. 0
