HAHAHAH I traded some ammo for a Ruger factory 15

Yeah! I traded some ammo for a Ruger factory 15 (actually will hold 16) round mini-14 mag today, in new condition. Man, I wish I could get some more. that mag is just about the right size.

    Ruger made a 15 round magazine for the Mini-14[?]I have many,many 5,10, 20, and 30 but never seen a 15....

    I never had seen one either but believe me I checked it over REAL good and it is definately a Ruger factory. It is truly just about the right size for the Mini-14. Wish I had more. I have one Ruger factory 30 rounder but that is it.

    I do have some aftermarket stainless steel 30 rounders that I replaced the spring with M-16 springs and the follower with a Rugar factor follower and they all work perfect. But as with most other people I still prefer factory mags.

    I think he said they were Rugar's, not Rugers. Rugar makes oddball magazines for their Ruger knockoff's. [:D][:p]

    Oh...and P.S. This is probably the wrong foram should probably be posted on the general forum.[:D][:p] (yea i spelled it wrong on purpose)

    Hangfire: I myself was surprised, but I checked the floor place and found the Ruger logo and name and I checked the follower (definately Ruger) and the body of the mag. The rivets/welds and the place on the mag that the spring catch grabs the mag when inserted into the mag well and it all appears to be Ruger factory.

    Now I wouldn't bet my life on that, but it does appear to be Ruger to me. If it isn't, I have to wonder why any aftermarket company would decide to make such an odd and unusual configeration when they could just as easily make a 20 or 30 or even 40 round mag and sell it for more money.

    Any thoughts or ideas on this?

    Don't have a clue...unless someone purchased factory baseplates and used them??

    Quit wondering if you got the real thing and just buy the new Ruger 20's and 30's that I have listed on this auction site. Real auctions .01 starts them and no reserve. Never seen a ruger 15, but I have seen an aftermarket one. It had the welded lug like the ruger 30's, but no markings anywhere.
