7.62x39 bolt gun?

Has or does anyone make a bolt gun in 7.62x39.

    CZ, and Charles Daly make bolt actions in 7.62x39. Ruger made a special editon M77 7.62x39 last year but they are hard to find and pricey.

    CZ makes one, though I'm still trying to figure out why. For anything other then the battle field the 7.62x39 is outclassed in every way. For hunting and for target shooting there are much better cartridges available. The only plus is that cheap ammo is available, this week, unless Kerry wins. Still there is also surplus .223 and .308 both of which I'd perfer over the x39. I'd just get an SKS or Mak90 and let it go at that.

    Norinco makes a cheap bolt gun but they won't let them import it here due to the Executive Order against them. Canada has them, if you know someone there.

    There are many benefits of a bolt gun in this caliber. If you hunt thick woods as I do with no shot past 100yards, why not use a .30 caliber rifle with enough knock down power and super cheap ammo?

    Buy a PAR1 or PAR3 AK from Century Arms. They are pump 7.62x39's and .223's. They go for $200 and have super cheap parts/ammo available.

    The really cheap ammo for the 7.62X39 is usually FMJ which is not legal in some states for hunting.

    Me, I'll stay w/ my 30-30 if I need 30 caliber knockdown in the above described conditions.

    Wolf 7.62x39 ammo is available very inexpensively in both hollow point 122 grain and soft point 154 grain bullets and they are legal to hunt with in my area. I believe this is a fine short range hunting cartridge and the bolt rifles are very accurate even with the "cheap" ammo. I have had the Mini-Mauser Mark X, the Ruger 77 (both early and later issues) and the CZ; all shot extremely well and kill deer as effectively as a 30-30.

    I have a CZ 527 bolt rifle in 7.62X39 and I have been very impressed with the rifle. In spite of the fact that there are many calibers out there that show up better on paper, this rifle is accurate, cheap to shoot, has taken jack rabbits, prairie dogs, coyotes, and deer out to 100 yards with ease (standard open sights) and carries very well. I have been plesantly surprised at the performance of standard Wolf hollow point ammo... especially at $3 a box. For someone who enjoys target shooting, small and medium game hunting and still wants to nail a whitetail on occasion, it will fill the job nicely. It is a true all-purpose caliber up to whitetail size animals.
