While at the barbers getting a haircut, I read a hunting magazine...Petersens Hunting magazine I believe and noticed that Winchester came out with its semi auto rifle with a adjustable stock available in the same calibers, but now included is the 325WSM...I checked the Winchester web page and see no mention of this...has anyone heard anything different or other information...I enjoy the semi autos FYI...Thanks.

All of winchesters 94 style firearms have a "half cock" position on the hammer which should always be used with a round in chamber, additionally they have a tang slide safety to block the trigger. I'm fairly certain that if you were not on half cock and had the hammer resting in the fully forward position that you could fire the gun by causing a sharp blow to the hammer, hence the need to carry on "half cocked".

The new tang safety works fine. You cab carry a live shell in the chamber safely. Fun gun to shoot.

I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a neat squirrel gun. Don't know what else I'd use it for,I have enough trouble hitting doves with my Model 12s :) Probably make me cuss on the skeet range too.LOL
