i have a 9 round that may be able to be modified but not sure if it can

the thing that scares me is that we could be living in someone else's own reality

I have a Colt Competition Hbar Sporter. It came with 2 five round mags. They are out there, but the HiCaps get most of the ink.

You can also modify the 10rd's to only accept 5, 6, or whatever you want by pinning them. This requires drilling a hole and using a pin that can be flush mounted in order to let the mag slip into the magwell unobstructed. Some of the guy's I shoot with do this for competition. If your not sure how to do this just look for the 5 rounders on GB or any auction site. Like this one.

hey everyone...thanks for the e-mails and the post..it seems i have alot of options so that is what i was looking for...i have three ar-s and i am going to dedicate one to varmits...that is basically what i do..i really varmit hunt only..top threee choices...coyote,fox, and the famous new york woodchuck...never tried a ar on them...always used my browning 22-250 or my remington 6mm and also have a ruger bolt in 223 that i have never shot..thanks again...tom

Much easier than pinning is simply putting a wooden plug, cut to proper length, thickness and width, inside the spring of the magazine. That way you do not have to alter the magazine. Do this on several caliber, large capacity mags. Further, 5-round magazines for the AR-15 style rifles are readily available from Bushmaster or Brownell's.
