ruby arm co. info needed
i am looking to buy a pistol from a friend of mine but i know nothing about the guns history if someone can help that would be great it is a 25 cal pistol made in spain by the "ruby" arms co. it is semi-auto and has a 6 round

The Trade Name "Ruby" was used by Gabilondo & Urresti Co. of Spain on their pistols from the time of World War I to the early 1930's.
Unfortunately the quality of materials and workmanship could be only considered mediocre.
Given the above and considering the pistol is over 70 years old, with spare parts virtually nonexistent, it would be prudent to test fire it to make sure it functions satisfactorily.

Spain didn't have a compulsory proof requirement for handguns until the late 1920's. If there is no proof(s) on the pistol it was made prior to then. If it's proofed it should have a letter or letters representing the date.
My WAG on value would be between $75 & $ 150 depending on if it's is functional and condition.
