Inletting patch Box ?
Know little bout installing a patchbox on a muzzleloading rifle but want to do it.Would like any free advice on how to go about this.I want to make it look nice with close fitting edges and smooth contour.I already have a fancy patchbox and a set of Exacta Knives but want some hints as to the tricks of the trade.
1-Powder
2-Patch
3-Ball
4-Remove the Rod
5-Do Not Forget the Cap.

Check out the Muzzleloading Forum http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com and go "Builder's Bench". There are about 14 pages of threads discussing various building related topics. Also, you could do a search there strictly on inletting.
Another good place is Track of the Wolf http://www.trackofthewolf.com and ckeck out their "Books" selection for some great resources for the builder. American Pioneer Video http://americanpioneervideo.com has a number of instructional videos on all aspects of building muzzleloaders. I especially like the ones from Homer Dangler and Herschel House. Finally, the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association http://www.nmlra.org has a number of really good resources, including their magazine "Muzzle Blasts".0
