I was at a pawn shop today and saw this AR-15 with the rail system handguards equipped on it, looked just like the current USMC issue M16A4. It was spray painted with camuflouged spray paint. The brand is what got me, The exact wording from it was C M T, New Britain, CT. I have never heard of this brand, can someone please give me some info on this. It also has a Smith & Wesson 3510X50 scope attached to it. I would have looked it up on gunbroker but turned up no results.

    How much did they want for the rifle? Was it a spray paint job or did it come from the factory that way?

    I have one of those AR's it's a CMT-15 with the same exact wording that you describe. I bought it new at a gun show, the dealer if you can believe him said that it was made by Colt but under that name because of some lawsuits that they did not want to be involved in(sounded like BS to me so I really didn't listen to the guys story, it maybe true). The reason I bought the gun was it's condition NIB, and the toys that were on it, all high quality and expensive. And the gun seemed well made, not cheap. Figured that if the gun was a waste at least the accessories that were included would make up for any loss.

    I really would like to know about this rifle, cuz I can't find any info on it anywhere.

    It was a spray painted job and the asking price was $899.
