Fed. American Eagle ammo

Is Federal American Eagle ammo considered mil-spec. For example would the American Eagle .308 work properly in a M1A or a AK type chambered for 7.62x51mm.

  Yes, I have shot a lot of American Eagle .308 in my M1A at 3 gun competition and it performed well.
