Savage 99EG Information

I just found a Savage 99 300 sav. ser. no. 518890 in excellent condition, all origional has not been tapped for a scope and never had sling swivels installed.Can anyone tell me when it was made,also an approx. value? Thanks.

  The B B gives the date as 1949. Factory original, excellent condition, collectors piece, good value.
