Does Kentucky recognise In permits
Any know if Kentucky recognises a legal personal protection permit from Indiana.
Am planning on a trip into Ky. on business, wish to carry my personal weapon. Heard, but not confirmed that Kentucky will accept my permit.
Would appreciate any input.

I too had a permit in Indiana for years, and traveled to Ky freq. I never did get straight answers from the local or state police...
"Ky will honor another state's license if that state allows Ky residents to carry concealed firearms without a separate license." Might want to see what Indiana says about that...
I live here now, and it is even more confusing. There is no permit required to purchase, no permit req. to possess, but it is unlawful to carry a concealed firearm on or about one's person...even on his own premises/dwelling...go figure...
Seems as though we only need a permit if we want to conceal a gun... The laws are not sharp here, and "broad" in a lot of ways...Guess I'll just carry a rifle or shotgun...loaded! No law against that I reckon...0 -
