S&W # 52 AUTO

I once owned a S&W auto that looked like the model 52, single action, single stack. But, it was chambered for 9 m, and that is what I shot in it. I sold it, but I am thinking about tracking it down. I have not seen another gun like it.
Is it worth the search?

    The S & W book notes that there are ( 2 ) pistols that MIGHT fit your description. Both very low production, virtually unobtainalble outside the advanced collector community, i.e. Big Bucks

    1), (5) of the original Model 52's were chambered in 9mm.

    2), (200) Model 952's manufactured in 2000, this was meant to be the 9mm version of the original M 52, with all the bells and whistles, then available from the Performance Center.

    The only single action only version of the Model 39 was called the Model 44. If that was the one you had, you really shouldn't have got rid of it. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$+

    I tracked the gun down. It was a model 39. I guess I always shot it single action. Looks like my long term memery is about as good as my short term. Ar least I won't regret selling it now.
    It sure was fun to think I might have owned a model 44.
