Western Field 350 shotgun

I'm looking for an approximate value on a Western Field side by side 12 guage shotgun. It is hammerless, double triggers, 28 inch barrels choked full/mod, 2 3/4 chambers. It has Western Field 350 engraved on the top of the rib and "made by Miroku" on the bottom of the receiver. The gun is in excellent condition.

    The Western Field trademark has appeared literally on hundreds of various models (shotguns and rifles) sold through the Montgomery Ward retail network. Most of these models were manufactured through subcontracts with both domestic and international firearms manufacturers. Typically, they were "spec." guns made to sell at a specific price to undersell the competition. Most of these models were derivatives of existing factory models with less expensive wood and perhaps missing the features found on those models from which they were derived. To date, there has been very little interest in collecting Western Field guns, regardless of rarity. Rather than list Western Field models, a general guideline is that values generally are under those of their "1st generation relatives." As a result, prices are ascertained by the shooting value of the gun, rather than its collector value.

    As mauser c. states, Montgomery Ward spec. ordered may different guns from different manufacturers, but especially Mossberg, Stevens/Savage.
    I couldn't find your particular model in the listings in the back of Blue Book, but that is not to say it doesn't exist. There are others here more well versed on this than I. But under Miroku, it lists that they have mostly made guns for Browning and Charles Daly and others. Off hand, I would speculate this is a Chas. Daly in disguise, which one? I would be guessing again but looks like it could be an Empire model. Daly dress: $400 to $490. Western Field probably somewhere in the $250 to $350 depending on the type of wood
    (boxelder or maple, or walnut?) and how attractively made and fitted up. It's tough to say without pictures, ect. It says Dalt had single trigger, your double, so that may or may not detract from the value, depends on the preference of a buyer.
