Why not a Compact Glock, ie Model 19? 0 -
I'd say the Kahr, a friend of mine has one and loves his. course, I've only heard great things about the XD; get the cheaper of the two, I think they're about equal

glock 29 is not the compact model. its the glock 26...The Xd is about 150 cheaper than the kahr. 0 -
I can't say much about the Kahr eccept that they are too pricey for my taste. I do however own an XD9 I picked up for $329.99 and I am very happy with everything about it.

IMHO the Kahr is the top of the line in its class.

Absolutely go with the Springfield. I have owned both, and the Springfield out performs the Kahr, is more reliable, gives better factory repairs, and is more accurate!
I have a Springfield XD, 9mm, and I shoot it with my "other" 9's all the time, but am using the "other's" less and less. The XD is by far and away the best shooting 9mm that iI have ever owned. The more iI shoot it, the better it gets. Springfield really out did themselves when they designed this firearm, and as far as I am concerned, nothing compares to it in any class of competition! "IMHO"

The Springfield's are neat ,if you like polymer ,but I see them malfunction at the range constantly ,they are ok if you take your time and shoot real slow ,but each week at pistol matches I have been going to ,they are the worst of the bunch
1 shot clear weapon ,2 shots clear weapon ,2 more clear weapon ,rest goes ok until next stage ,shooter takes 45 seconds more than anyone else ,then vows not to bring it next week ,next week brings gun back, hasn't malfunctioned all week ,same thing happens again ,big difference when slow firing than defense shooting0
