wierd question

as i get more and more into owning my own guns (i am only 22) i am accumulating a number of small tools; allen wrenches, ILS keys mainspring tool, small screw drivers etc.

the prob is right now they are just lying around. i am looking for a small tool kit/ organizer that i can use to store these tools and used parts that have been replaces (old 1911 bushing, etc.)

any ideas?

    Fishing tackle boxes come in a variety of sizes and qualities. You might consider buying an economy model to collect your stuff in for now. As you gain experience you will probably think up better solutions for your tool and parts mangagement. Hope this helps.

    i keep all the tools i need for a specific job all in one sandwich ziplock bag. take for instance a high standard sight replacement. it requires a tweezer, jewelers screwdriver, a wood dowel and brass hammer, a piece of copper wire, a paper clip and some others. rather than trying to remember what tools i'll need when i do it, i just mark the bag 'sight tools,' then just grab it and go. when i go to the range, depending on what caliber i shoot, i have all the tools for that gun in a ziplock bag marked 9mm sig, or 45 1911a1, or hi standard 22. this way i never forget them and know what the tools are for. try it. btw..i learned this idiot proof method caring for the navy seal teams small arms kits. last thing you need is to be 25,000 miles from homeplate and be looking for that dodad thingamagiger for your 16...[:D]

    Do your self and flavor, and buy an small tool chest from Wal-Mart and put it in the corner of the room. You will thank me later.

    what ever you get ,you will outgrow

    i am up to a full craftsmen bench ,2 4 drawer fileing cabinets ,2 safes 1 large gun cabinet ,2 range bags

    i use an old machinists tool chest. they have a bunch of small drawers and it works great. bought another nice kennedy metal one at an auction for $30 in great shape. usin it to store the rest of my reloading tools.

    I'd recommend a small to medium roll-away tool chest for home, and a fishing tackle box to carry to the range.

    i think i found what i am going to use at a hobby shop.
    it's pretty simple but it fits the bill
