Remington 11 stock set or A-5? same?
I have two questions for you ...about the 12ga remington model 11.
1st.
will a browning A5 stock/forearm fit on a remington model 11 ?
2nd.
Where can a fellow find a set of wood at for one? Ive looked everywhere. I'd perfer a checkered set but anything is better than nothing.
I could make due with a checkered stock only . Thing is the stock on my shotgun was cut down to 13'' LOP and I'd like to replace it. I have The original forearm it is checkered and in good shape but will have to be refinished to match the stock if i can find one. any help would be appriciated
[ this is the wood i was refering to about paint removal ]

Use Easy-off. Just kidding! Try http://www.boydboys.com/BrowseEbus/ShotgunPArem.asp I've dealt with these guys and their service is fast and friendly. The wood has some very nice color and grain.

Thanks Trap,
I'll pass on the ''Eazy'' way out [:D]. I looked at boyds line up i have 3 custom mausers in stocks they made. they do very nice work indeed. I'd like to find the original wood if possible. but if i cant i'll probably buy boyds.0 -

I'm still looking! I'm no expert on the Rem. 11, but I think there were several variations?

One point missed...
M-11 and A-5 are not interchangeable. Same general design, same patent, same outward looks, but totally different.

Remington m-11 has three different variations...None identical to the Browing A-5... 0 -
