JP AR Barrel?
I'm considering getting a JP custom AR barrel. Does anyone have any experience with their barrels, or could someone suggest another brand barrel. Thanks

I've had several, this is my current setup which I've had for a few years ... it's a JP barrel/heatsink/handguard on a DPMS Hi-Rise flat-top ... on a Bushmaster lower I built:

I like 'em!.If you really want to do something, you'll find a way ...

I was browsing my pics and ran across this:
That first target is 3-4 years old, since then there has probably been 10K down the tube ... Here's a more recent target ... shot this on Memorial Day '04
The top pic is 5 rounds, cold barrel coin is a dime, the bottom pic is 100 rounds later (hot barrel), 10 rounds and the coin is a nickel. If you really want to do something, you'll find a way ...

Kid,
Is that a Nikon scope on your set-up? I was wondering how well you like it, how well it is holding it's zero considering the high-volume shoots you may have between moderate length 'sitting time'.

Kid, what kind of trigger do you have on that rig? I just put in a new Chip McCormick, and I love it, but their customer service leaves something to be desired.

The scope is a BSA 6-24X40 Target ... I've had it on there for 3-4 years and it's never let me down ... I keep thinking I'll replace it with something better, but as long as it works ... Why?
Moose-
The trigger is actually just a stock trigger that I've workd down to 3.5 pounds, then I wanted a little more comfortable grip, so I went with the Ergo, which also set my hand back about 1/2". Then I wanted a little more length so I used a Chip McCormick 1911 45 trigger to make a shoe. I narrowed the stock trigger and wided the slot in the back of the trigger then pinned it on ... it gives me about 3/16" longer pull and just the tip of my finger is on the serrations ... works for me [:p].If you really want to do something, you'll find a way ...
