I'm selling an M-1 Garand on gunbroker and I was going to mention that I will sell to California residents but I'm not sure if M-1's are legal in Cal. Thanks Dave

    So, Uncle Sam in his infinite wisdom has seen fit to relocate me and my family to a training post in California.

    Any information on current gun laws and restrictions would be greatly appreciated!

    The simple answer to your question is "yes, you can ship any firearm/mag to a dealer anywhere in the country." However, whether or not it is legal for the CA dealer to sell them to your buyer is something I don't know, but which is not your problem. That's the main reason so many of us are glad to ship to dealers; THEY have to know the local law, not us.

    Your buyer will send you a signed photocopy of his dealer's FFL, along with payment for the gun & shipping. Hopefully for his sake, he will discuss the legality of the purchase with his dealer. That's HIS problem; you will already have his money.

    That's about what I was thinking, but wanted to hear it from someone else. I've already got his FFL and his $$ so I'm just going to send her out - Thanks again.

    Larry,,,,, No problem with the Carbine, but I think the dealer will need to have a "high capacity magazine" permit for the 15 rounder to enter Calif. Not all FFL holders have the mag permits.

    Either way, your purchaser will not be able to rec the mag. You might just want to keep the mag and deduct a little from the cost, or throw in another box of ammo.
