gifts
I have been given 2 rifles from my grandfather and I am looking for the value on them. I'm not looking to sell them but want to know for insurance and replacement cost.
The first is a Winchester model 70 featherweight in .308 win cal. with the original sales recipt from 1950. It is in great shape for a field gun. There are some very small dents and scratches in the stock and the finish is worn at the muzzle. It has been tapped on the left side for a Lyman peep sight which is included. It also has a Bushnell scope(unknown how old) in a Pachmyr tip off mount.
The second is a Winchester mod 75 in .22LR. This rifle is in better shape and is VERY accurate. The s/n on this one is 4XXX.
All s/n match and both rifles shoot well.
Any help with this would be great!

Thank you for such a quick reply.
I know the 75 is a 28 inch barrel. As for the mod 70... I'll have to check the recipt again. It has been folded many times and what I thought was a 0 could be something else.
Thanks again

The Model 75 was produced in 1938 and is probably worth $400.00+
Sounds like a nice gift.[^]
