Colt Combat Commander 9mm Luger

I just made a fairly fast look-through in the Blue book and don't find this pistol so described. A friend of mine called me re was I interested in a blued steel (maybe) Colt so described on the slide or frame. Is 9mm Para. (as used in Blue book) the same as 9mm Luger (as marked on the pistol)? Pistol is said to be clean with light-colored checkered wood stocks with Colt medallion, asking $400.00. I may look at it Saturday. It seems to be in the ballpark for value but that description kinda throws me.

    Aha. You guys were kind not to laugh at the question. Further searching old posts at this forum lead me to conclude that 9mm Luger is the same as 9mm Parabellum. Odd that BlueBook doesn't use the same terms the manufacturer of the gun uses though. I see some references in BlueBook to Colt in 9mm Steyr. Well the education continues.

    Many (all?) of these originally had sand blasted walnut stocks with the Colt medallion.

    The one I had, had Coltwood grips, different type, with satin nickle finish. 400. seems goor to me! IMO. nambu
