    Welcome Chainsaw,
Please provide more information. If you are getting 4" at 100yards from a Browning lever action rifle, there's little cause for concern.
If you're getting 4" at 25 yards, we've got problems, and someone(not me) at some time(not now) may suggest a badly fouled barrel, improper scope mounting, or even operator error.

The rotating cam, gear and sprocket, Japanese designed wierdness action of the BLR will never compete with a comparable bolt action rifle. The .358 is not renowned as a flat shooting target cartridge.
It is a great handy little light weight fast shooting hard hitting deep woods rifle.

There's little room for trigger improvement, and no room for stock bedding, so taking it to a gunsmith for customization is unnecessary. Your only option (after ruling out filthy barrel and loose sighting system) is to try different cartridge loadings.

    Thanks Troop,
The barrel is clean, any loads and powders you could suggest?

Sorry trooper, I can not agree with you. I have a BLR in .308 (Belgian) and a .284 (Japanese). Both of these rifles shoot minite of angle groups with the proper handloads. I have owned and seen some boilt rifles that can not shoot as well as the BLRs.
Four inch groups do indicate some kind of a problem, usually not with the rifle per se.

Yep you sure do have a problem if your 358 Browning is shooting 4" groups.
My 358 Browning stays under a inch at 100 yards most of the time from a good solid rest.
The 358 is very effective on big game.
At 300 hundred yards my 358 Browning lever rifle will also stay inside 2" with 180 grain Hornadys and hits like a train.
Carried it to the high country this year but could have taken one of several 7mm 30 cal. Magnums in it's place but didn't.
Results, one 5X6 Bull at 275 yards.
