1911 conversion question

i have a colt combat commander. i want to get a ciener 22 conversion for it. i want the government 5 inch barrel for the conversion. will it fit on my commander? i campared its frame with a government and it looks like the same size. thanks in advance.

  It will fit but that dust thing will be short. I figure if you use a full guide rod there shouldn't be much of a problem. I know you stated you want the Gov. but ciener makes the commander conversion kit. Hell, give him a call in Florida.

  My my professional opinion, it sounds like you better just keep bringing the gun to the landis range and let me shoot up all of your 45's.
