Have one on a mini 14. Won't take it off, but the trigger isn't great, and I need to make an insert for the ejection port so the used brass won't go in behind the action. It would work good on a ranch rifle, since they eject more to the side. The regular Mini 14 ejects to the top. But still like I say, I won't take it off the rifle. Looks are great. Meanest looking thing in the safe.

got one at a pawnshop like new for $50 for 10-22.....simple swap ....great looking ...easy to carry in a small pickup....open sights work ok but plastic has to much flex to firmly mount scope...

Fun is the best way to describe ... not accurate, and the trigger linkage is anything but smooth and crisp, but ... if you want to put a 25 or better round clip in and just have some fun making cans jump or rats dance ... they are the ticket.

However, depending on the mag used you may have to bevel the handgrip.

If you have a spare 10/22 ... go for it. Even if you only have a single rifle they are not that hard to change back and forth.

If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!

Got a 10/22 in that config and it is tons of fun. Here's a pic, she's got a Masen flash suppressor, a 25rd mag, Hogue grip and a Maglite installed
