W.W. Greener Rifle
I have a W.W.Greener Rifle that I have had for 35years I need some information about and its value.
It is marked on the left side W.W.Greener Maker Birmingham Right side Commonwealth Of Australia Top of Barrel W.W.Greener Maker Birmingham 2 stars Crossed Flags Trade Mark 8, Kangaroo On Breech, Number 6866 on left side of barrel, 310 12-120 Right side of barrel, The Stock looks like Burl Walnut, The forearm looks like a different wood, Both stock and forearm have nice carving It is lever action breech loading Don't know the caliber but close to a 32 caliber

Your rifle is a Australian Cadet Rifle. It's original chambering was for the 310 Cadet Cartridge.
Greener made thousands of these training rifles for Australia, in the early years of the 20th Century, prior to the First World War.
Many of these rifles were inported and sold in the states during the 60's. Most were reworked and rechambered as sporters. If your rifle is factory original, and hasn't been rechambered to another cartridge, it would have considerable interest for a military rifle collector.

It appears you have a Greener Martini action chambered in 310 Greener. With the Australian markings it could possibly be a sporterized Cadet[training] rifle. Greener also made sporting rifles in this caliber, but don't know if they put Australian markings on those.Many of theae Cadets were imported into the US in the 50's and 60's...the caliber is also known as the 310 Cadet. It is almost indentical to the 32-20 winchester, and in fact many 310-'s were rechambered to that round.

This is a military training rifle. The forend is supposed to be full length and neither forestock or buttstock were carved.
The grip is straight not pistol gripped. Since yours has been altered, a collector will probably not want it but there is a good market for these actions for conversion to calibers like the 22Hornet.
As I recall, the bore is a little oversize for 32-20 bullets.
They have also been converted to .222, .357 Mag and 32 Special.0
