Franz Sodia Fulach - rifle

Went down to the local shop and he showed me a rifle due to come out on the shelf this week. It's a Franz Sodia bolt action, fully engraved action, spoon handle bolt, with (I think) Boerer(sp) barrel in 7x57. The stock is dark wood with cheek rest and the checkering is hand carved fish scale. Probably around 95% condition. It has an older Ziess scope mounted. I know that is not much to go on, but what is a ball park figure for a Franz bolt rifle - I know they are more known for their drillings/doubles and are expensive. I think he is going to run it for about $5000.00 - 6000.00.

    BlueTic you know as much as I can find. The $5,000-6,000 sounds like the right ball park. They are indeed known mostly for drillings and doubles, and engraving and carving are certainly consistent with Franz Sodias. You would need an expert appraisal if you plan to buy.
