Need help on two handguns.

Recently a co-worker at my job (ex-101st Airborne Vietnam, and a really great guy) received two handguns a Colt SAA, and a Browning High-Power, he would like to know the relative value of the two pieces, and approx when the Browning was manufactured, that one is a mystery to me, as the sn doesn't match up w/ the commercial HP numbers listed commonly on the net.
1) The Colt SAA is in .357 magnum and is blued w/ a color case hardened frame. The piece is in very good condition, well over 85% of the original finish is left. The left side of the barell is marked "1871 NRA centennial 1971" The top is marked Colts ptfa mfg co hartford ct USA. The frame is marked pat sept 19,1871 July2,72 jan19,75.The serial# is NRA69XX and the#264 is stamped on the loading gate. The stocks look to be original, perhaps rosewood, and they have an NRA medalion/w eagle set in the place of the more usual rampant Colt Medalion.
2) The Browning Highpower has an internal extractor, and tiny fixed sights,rowell hammer, and smallish safety on the left side of the frame. of the earlier production guns. It is marked Fabrique Nationale D'Armes De Guerre and Herstal-Belgique, and Brownings Patent Depose. The Serial # is 598XXX, at least that is the only number that I could find on the gun. it is in good condition w/ at least 60 or 70% of the original finish. It has checkered hardwood stocks, and two magazines, both 13 rounds.
Any help is greatly appreciated, that HP really has me stumped.

The Colt is easy. Made 1971 for the "NRA" Centennial. 5000 were made. Blue Book for a 100% gun is $1395.00 a shooter will be less.
