.308 ARs
I'm looking for a .308 AR type rifle to replace my M1A. I've looked at the Armalite, DPMS,and Bushmaster products. I'd appreciate any feedback you can provide on reliability, accuracy, etc. I understand that the Armalite can use converted m1a mags, bushmaster will use FAL mags, but DPMS? Bushmaster is ambi (I'm left handed)?

Armalite was converting M1A magazines for people that needed big magazines for the AR10 after the Ban prohibited manufacture of new magazines.
They got around the ban by taking M1A magazines and 'converting' them for the AR10.
They are now able to make correct new magazines from scratch with the Ban expired.
It's the time to buy them. In theory the magazines should be cheap now. They were pretty pricey prior to Sept. 14th.0 -
You should just get a DSA. They look so darn cool.

DPMS uses Stoner mags for their .308 AR. They are producing their own now that should be available in a few weeks according to them. All three guns should be able to take the standard AR15 Ambi safety. 0
