Price check...Polytech AK

I am not familar with AK's but I have been tempted with a trade offer. so what do they normally go for? it is 7.62.
excerpt from email:
" I have a polytec although SP but it has the underfolding bayonet and removable brake. Several brakes 3 stock sets, 1 being a side folder and a bunch of mags. I have been kicking around getting rid of it just not too sure if I need another ar. The ak has been coated w/ brownells aluma hyde 2 in black"

  I would not give $1200.00 for that one as it has no box or the three mags.
  
  The other two are pretty close to the going price for no box AK's.

  Polytech did import a "sporter" version in post ban configuration
  with a black choate synthetic thumbhole stock this Polytech is marked "SP" so it sounds like a modified "postban" gun to me
  which has no collector value. A GENUINE Polytech pre-ban is marked
  "AKS-762" on the receiver with NO "SP" anywhere. The real thing
  in 97-100% condition should fetch $850-$1100 depending on configuration. The "sporter" is worth around $375-$400.
  Do NOT deal with an Email only sale, most are ligit but some are
  passing off junk as gold and ripping folks off. Stick with an auction
  sale you will know the credibility (or lack thier of) of the seller
  and get to see what you are buying. JUST MY 2 CENTS. Good choice in an AK by the way[;)]

  I just noticed that the Legend Manual is not the original that came with it. These are the things that make it worth less.
