Help Identifying a .410 Double

We have a beauty here and dont know anything about it. Its a .410 double with these markings:
Exel(?) Arms of America (Markings on Left Barrel Top)
Gardner, Mass
Model 221 3"

Ugartechea, Made in Spain(Marking on Right Barrel Top)

Has a straight stock , 28" barrels

Anybody ?

  My references note that your shotgun is a high class, high dollar model that was produced by one of the few older Spanish ( Ignacio Ugartechea, Eibar ) makers that stayed in business after the Civil War. It's an older model as Exel quit inporting in 87 and Ugartechea now does business as Armas Ugartechea.

  "rufe-snow" has given you the basics that you need to know. You are looking at a very highly hand-crafted Spanish shotgun, in an extreemly desirable gauge. This is a "big-bucks" machine, at least for a teacher like me.
  
  You are looking at somewhere between $1500 - $3000 worth of machine depending on condition and "extras" such as a "fitted-leather case".
  Sight-unseen----I would give you $1500 for it, if the barrels haven't been wrapped around a tree. As a teacher, I would have to take out a "signature loan", but our bank here still does them.

  By the way, I don't really expect you to consider selling it to me for $1500, but if you were to accept the offer, my wife would have to drive me to the bank, because I would be in "shock".
