How To Identify A Shilen Barrel?

    More than likely it ID's the gunsmith that did the work.
    Most barrel makers (Shilen included) ID the barrel on the breach end of the blank. This marking is usualy removed as the first step of squaring up the blank end prior to chambering and threading.

    Contact Doug Shilen and ask him if he can suggest a way to verify if it's one of his tubes.

    Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

    exactly what he said. Once it's chambered,..the marks are gone. You can only trust the owner from that point on.

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
