Winchester Model 42 help

I have this shotgun that has had a piece broken out of the breech bolt. Serveral years ago I had someone claiming to be a gunsmith try and weld it up. The job he did dosent look real bad but the groove in the side must not be recut right or just needs a lot more polish because it is almost impossible to cycle the gun. I guess what I need to know is can this be remedied or is there some where besides Gun Parts Corp to locate another bolt?

  Good morning Jailerman! Well that problem with 42's, (blowing out the back of the breech bolt), is not uncommon, especially with Skeet guns. Not many gunsmith's around who can do this type of "weld repair" successfully. Personally I'd say it's time for a replacement bolt. Email me, click on onlywinchesters to the right, I can help you.
