This may be a tough one...
What would be necessary to build a 6500 fps, 7MM?
God Bless America and...

I assume this isn't a serious question 0 -
Neck down a 50BMG to a 7mm bullet? [:0] 0 -
Considering the the powder gas expansion rate is around 5200fps, what fuel will you be using.
Perhaps a staged fuel addition system, similar to the one the Germans were developing in WW-2? How about a rocket booster built into the base of the projectle, one that's delay ignited by the burning powder gasses?
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -

What would be the point????
Men, like bullets, go farthest when they are smoothest.0 -

Single shot?

On your mark-get set- go away!!0 -
There's no powder at this point in time that would give you that velocity, and w/o some "mega" breakthrough I'm not sure there will ever be.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -

A super BIG GyroJet! [:D]0 -
A shoulder of rhino hide would be one necessary part. 0 -
XRACER: That was gonna be my suggestion....Gyrojet was a Fun Gun...My Dad tested one for the Company back in the 50's Got to shoot up several 100 Rounds of the Rocket Rounds..Sure wish I'd saved some rounds for posterity.....
Seems to me that at 6500 feet per second all you'd have is Molten vapor...as the heat generated would be hot as Hades and melt the projectile before it got to the target...I've seen this happen with the .17Bee....Bullet was moving so fast...that the lead Core was melted and when the Bullet impacted the target it exploded and made the Paper look as tho it had been shot with a Shotgun...and the silvery sheen on the target was condensed Lead...Anyone that Knows Bill Atkinson from A&M Barrels Fame....has heard the Story...I Know....because I was there....!
