In terms of power, they are about the same....777 is much cleaner burning.

Triple Seven is advertised as giving 15% more velocity than regular Pyrodex when the same volume is used. It also has no sulfur in it and wont corrode the barrel like Pyrodex. I used it last season and was very happy with it. It does give more velocity as my White Systems 50 cal shoots flatter than before.
I went the whole season with only wiping out the barrel with a dry patch a couple of times. When I stripped it down at the end of the season it was bright and clean in a couple of swipes with a wet patch. If it will shoot accurately in your rifle it is the way to go.
I use 100 gr volume (equivalent) of the loose Triple 7 not pellets. Accuracy is great, however what works in one may not work in another. The only way to know is try it.

Yes, they both come in pellets. I switched from Pyrodex to 777 last year. Like some of the others said, it is MUCH cleaner. Plus, it's a little hotter.
