Uninstall AR180 scopemount?

Does anyone know how to get the factory scope mount off a AR180. A friend bought one at knob creek and can't get the scope mount off the gun.

  The "Factory Original" mount is spring loaded. There is a dovetail on the base of the mount that mates with a corresponding dovetail on the top of the receiver.
  
  I sold mine a number of years ago. To the best of my recollection, you have to pull back and up on the mount against the spring pressure, till the dovetails are clear of one another. Then you should be able to separate the mount from the receiver.
