Did you remove the flat spring that was under the sight leaf? It has to slide out before you install the scope base.

Thanks I got that spring out. I am still not seeing a real obvious way that it fits in there... how does the middle screw come into play? What about the pin that comes with the bracket?

Man 1 decent picture would solve alot of my problems, unfortunateltly I have never seen one nor seen a gun with this installed on it.

    Thanks,

    Joe

I have one installed on my Polish M44 and it went on with minimal issues?!! The middle screw you speak of is, I believe, there for support of the front of the mount on the metal ring that is behind the upper forearm. Still kinda' unsure as to why the pin won't go on?! Have you tried reversing the mount fore to aft to see if it will go in that way? I don't mean to be condescending, but you might be trying to mount it backwards. Lord knows I've done the same thing plenty of times myself!!

Ok I uploaded some pics of the actual gun and mount. Please look and tell me this is not a square peg trying to be fit into a round hole.

That's what it seems like to me, but the item is described as a mount for a M44 - just remove the rear leaf and viola! I think it says...

That's not the B Square 44 mount I have. I can see why you're having problems. Someone else might have experience with yours. Personally, I don't think it's the correct mount. Of course I could be wrong, I was wrong once 35 years ago.... and might be again someday.
