Barrel Length...legal limit???
so is 16" the requirment for all shoulder fired firearms? including bolt action rifles and pump shotguns? how would you measure a barrel to get the exact length? is the chamber considered part of the barrel? I have a couple of ideas for two of my guns but both are dependent on how much I can "cut off."
thanks for your help.

The chamber is part of the barrel, but most people measure from where the barrel emerges from the receiver. You can never go wrong doing that.
There was a cowhand once who said that Shakespeare was the only poet who wrote like he'd been raised on red meat.
No man in his right mind will play with a gun. I've seen show-offs doing fancy spins and all that. No real gun-fighter ever did. With a hairtrigger, he'd be likely to blow a hole in his belly. L'Amour
