I've always followed my father's advice: he told me, first to always keep my word and, second, to never insult anybody unintentionally. If I insult you, you can be damn sure I intend to. And, third, he told me not to go around looking for trouble.

Is there a crest on top of the receiver? 0 -
There is a Crest but it is so faint you cant read it even w/various magnifying glass. It does have the 3/step barrel. Also what would be an approx. value. The Bolt has been altered to accept a scope and has a Walnut Sporter stock on it.[:)][:)] 0 -
PFD, mauser central has got it right.

mauser central: That sight sure helped. Appreciate the info. Now all I need is an estimate of value. Thanks again.[:)][:)] 0 -
glad it helped pfd [:)]. As for the value im no expert, not even close. but concidering the orginal wood and hardware has been replaced and the bolt has been modified for scope use [ which makes me guess its been drilled and tapped ] i'm going to say all collector value is gone even if it were all matching. my estimated value depending on condition/and the bore is anywhere from 60 to 150ish, just my opinion.
