Your going to have to be more specific, Springfield Armory manufactured many different rifles for the US military, from 1795 to 1962.

The rifle looks about a WW2 type. It's a 22 short, long or long rifle. It was made in Chicopee Falls, Mass. I think it's a model 15.

Sounds like one of the many Savage/Stevens trade name rifles made under the "Springfield" name, and has no relation to the Springfield arsenal at all. These were nice little utilitarian guns that rarely bring more than $100 and are valued more as shooters than collectors.

is this what you have? http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=23963748 springfield model 15? if not can you elaborate on any makings visable on the rifle???

I've always followed my father's advice: he told me, first to always keep my word and, second, to never insult anybody unintentionally. If I insult you, you can be damn sure I intend to. And, third, he told me not to go around looking for trouble.

It appears you have a Savage/Stevens 22. Model 15 doesn't ring a bell. Is it a bolt action?Single shot or repeater?

    Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob
