does anyone own any of the break barrel NEF guns? im looking at one of the ultra hunters in 30/06 and wanted to know if anyone knew of the quality of the gun for a hunting rifle

    I have one in .223 with a second barrel in .243. I was a little dissapointed at first with the lack of good accuracy, factory only guarentees a group of 21/2" at 100 yds and that is what both of my barrels did. I also had ejection problems with both barrels, factory ammo. and hand loads. I polished the chambers with polishing compound and that problem has almost gone away, i say almost because every now and again a casing will hang and a cleaning rod is needed to force it out of the chamber. The accuracy is getting better the more i shoot them, so fart i've put about 500 rounds thru both barrels and my grupe size is down to about 11/2" @ 100 yds.

    I own a 45-70, .223, and a 12 gauge in the Handi rifle configuration and like all of them. The .223 I get pretty decent accuracy at 1 MOA. My 45-70 gets about 2 inches at 100 yrds. but I think thats the shooter's problem.[:0] I really enjoy their simplicity, cost, and durability. I will be purchasing more in the future.

    Probably the best gun on the market for the money. I have a 22hornet,223,45-70, and 12ga. A friend bought one in 25-06 its a shooter as well.

    I don't approve of political jokes. I've seen too many of them get elected.

    i live in hilly brush country and rarely shoot over 75 yards. I have owned two handi rifles and four pardners all were mechanically sound never an ejection problem. killed everything from deer to squirrels with them. i always seem to trade them off not because they won't do the job but i just love to hold a wingmaster or a remington 700 [:D]

    I just got one in 30-06.I've put one box of shells through it and am at 1.5" at 100 yards w/a flyer now and then,but I don't think it's the gun[:I].I've noticed that the hotter the barrel gets,the larger the group gets.If I take it slow and only shoot 1 or 2 at a time it does fine.[^]Next will be the .223 bull barrel I found this past weekend.I don't know about other areas,but the .223 is hard to find around here,so I'd better jump on it for $199.(NIB).

    I had one in 45-70 that was a hoot to shoot,and accurate to boot.:)
    IZH is making a single shot in about the same price range now,anybody shot one or have any 'real' info on those?
