Everything I have read says to buy PMI magazines. I don't know if they are still being made, but I see them for sale occasionally on Gunbroker.com.

I use Thermold mags. This is the same manufacturer that makes M16 mags for the Canadian military.I haven't bought any for years, so I can't help with a current source..,.sorry.They are absolutely flawless.

    Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob

You can now buy factory 20 round for about $32. I would go with them.

Looking at others' comments, I did some searching and found *NEW* Precision Mag Industries (PMI) and Thermold 20 - 30 - 40 round magazines offered by several sources at prices below those being asked for *used* ones at auction. Also some reviews praising both suppliers.

Thanks for the inquiry, SLIDER, I learned something useful myself.

I use Eagle 35rd mags they work great and you can jungle two together for 70 rnds,, they can also be be loaded with 20 rnd and left in storage, this will not hurt clock spring that these use,,only drawback is you can't use strippers

I have been using Thermold mags for about ten years. Have NEVER had a problem that was mag related.
