Help ID this Mauser

It's a 98 type long rifle with a crest that has what looks like a capitol letter A over a T with an F attached. The receiver is dated 1954. The quality appears inferior to German or Czech Mausers. Anyone know what make/model/caliber?

  I think it is Austrian, but i'm not absolutely sure. I'll revert on that point.
