Can someone tell me what is the difference between them?

AN stg-58 is a metric pattern manufactured in Austria, The L1A1 is an Inch pattern Manufactured in England. Some parts interchange, but not many. STG's all had a built in Bipod which is a nice touch. DSA is putting together some really nice STG clones, Century is the only one I know of making an attempt at L1A1's and they tend to be of poor quality and with a mixture of parts.

Not much, Just price's are all over the place. The STG-58's have charging handles of different types and the bolt covers change from time to time.
I got a STG-58 kit and a reciever and put it together myself. i sent it to Robar to have a MP3 finish put on it. The total cost around $900.00.0 -
I have heard that the L1A1 won't take metric magazines (can't confirm if this is true). That is a major problem if it is since the majority of the mags floating around out there are metric. I have a STG58 fal carbine built by

Paid $600 for it, their fulsize is $569 as I recall. Probably one of the best deals around on builds.
