Which AK47?

I am interested in getting an AK47 and have a chance at a Romanian one at a seemingly good price. A couple of friends of mine said to stay away from the Romanian ones telling me they do not last much past 200-300 rounds before having problems. My question is (1) Is that true? (2) If true, which models are better?

    i have a rom wars 10. i got it used for $300. i have put close to 1k of rounds through it without much problems. some guys say the sar1,2,3 are good too but $400-$500 new. by the way is the one you are looking at take double stack mags?

    first rule of northern militia is that we don't talk about northern militia.

    I have a SAR-3. This is the 5.56 varient and have put over 1000 rounds through it with out a problem. [8D]

    I have a Romanian SAR-1 and have shot a few thousand rounds through it and still not had any problems. And I shoot everything from Wolf,UMC to Sapsan. I payed 300.00 for mine and it was new. I think your friend is just telling you that so you will pass it up and he'll buy it[}:)][:D].

    I don't approve of political jokes. I've seen too many of them get elected.

    I have a SAR1 and also have over 3000rds thru it. No problems here except I keep changing the stocks on it .

    Thanks to all. It takes the high cap mags and I can get it for$265. She looks real nice so I think I will go ahead and grab it. What the heck, if it blow up it's only me!!!
