Serial number dating link ?

I know someone has posted before a link to a web site where you can punch in a serial number for a Remington and it will give the date of manufacture - Could some one do that once again? [?] Thanks in advance Iowa [:D]

  Iowa,
  Remington uses a date code,not the serial number.
  
  The code is found on the left side of the barrel,just in front of the reciever.
  
  Try this sight:

  Scroll down until you find "Manufacture dates" in the left column.
  Click on Remington
