Ruger 77 ?

Did Ruger make many Model 77 Bull Barrel Rifles,The reason I ask is I bought a 77 Reg. Stock Ruger 77 RSI (Tang Safty)so I would not beat up the Full lenght Stock on it now and the Barrel channel is too large.Did not know if this is a rare Stock or not.Also I still need a replace for it (Tang Safty) prefer Syntheic but all concidered.

  the M77 VT model has a heavy 26" barrel (around contour #6). You need a sporter barrel channel. That barrel channel you have may have been opened up by the old owner.

  If I remember correctly, the 77RSI is a short (18") barrel of light contour whereas the 77R & RS models have a standard 22-24" barrel. You might find it necessary to get a stock for the Ultra Light to properly fit your rifle.
