Shot Guns

I was looking to purchase a new shot gun. I wanted to get back into hunting pheasant and shoot trap. I was wondering if you guys would have any suggestions as to what gauge and brand you would recommend? I really didn't need a $3000 gun or anything. I just wanted a good servicable, reliable and reasonably priced gun.

    I second what MW said. For an auto you can't beat the Bennelli.
    As far as pumps go, Remingtons are great, but for the price mossbergs are very durable and reliable in 500 or 590. good luck[:)]

    If price is a concern, the Stoeger O/U 12ga. is a good buy. For a little more money I would go for a Remington 1100.

    I'll second the Rem. 1100.Great gun,and if you shoot a lot of trap the recoil is very tame compared to pump guns."Serious" trap takes a specialty gun but you can bust em with anything with enough practice.
    We...I should say most people can,I just punch holes in the sky.:)

    Mossberg....cheap....reliable....inexpensive to fix....will kill a bird just the same for less$$
